New Years Eve

Logan, Mom and I had been contemplating how to celebrate New Years Eve.   Mom and Logan knew that good food was in order and I, well, no food sounded good.

But...leave it to Mom to decorate my hospital room with New Years signs, banners, hats, horns, poppers and noisemakers.

The nurses who came in even commented that I had such a fun room.  It was the happiest of all on the floor they said.

Logan and Mom spent most of New Years Eve day with me.  As the night approached, we continued our 'Lost' marathon.  Come dinner time, Logan went to one of our favorite Chinese take out joints (Dragon Diner, which was conveniently located kiddie corner to the hospital) and got some food for himself and my mom.  I however had a different request for dinner.  I wanted two bean burritos from Taco Bell.  That was it.  Logan rushed right over to the nearest Taco Bell and got em'.

That night we watched 'Lost' until about 10 minutes prior to the ball dropping.  Logan put on his New Years red and gold hat and we each grabbed a couple horns and noisemakers.  At the stroke of midnight Mom and Logan blew horns while I watched in fright of it being too loud.

The New Year came and went.

I was hopeful for 2014 as Logan crossed off another day on my countdown calendar.

We could do this.
