For those who have never been through this process, the day you get your calender is a great day! It's both exciting and nerve wracking but more importantly it lays out a time line for the actual day of the embryo transfer (putting the embryo inside the uterus). Seeing the end in sight makes it that more real.
I'm not going to take the time to explain this calender because it gets complicated. Over two and half years ago when I received my first calendar I was totally intimidated! Emily though, took it like a champ. Seriously, she amazed me. And we were both totally excited for August 25th--embryo transfer day!
Needles to say, there's sure a lot of work that Emily had to put in before then, for weeks. Lots of shots, pills, blood draws, and office visits all in a very STRICT time frame. And poor Emily still had three kids at home to be Mom to.
This process is definitely not for the weak or weary.
